Dear Friends,

                                                         In the grim days of 2018, when we were all licking our grievous                                                                       wounds from the First Virtual World War, I abandoned my blog. But                                                               now, Lord be praised, I’ve been given powerful reasons to return.

                                                         The long-awaited publication of the contents of the of 

                                                         Blackberry  Device #98576 sent a rush of people to discover my                                                                       original blog posts, giving me an unexpectedly sizable new audience. 

And the sudden and shocking ascension of Artificial Intelligence in our lives has given me an animating motivation to blog anew. For far more than the violent video games that inspired my earlier posts, I believe the all-too-rapid application of AI is an existential threat to ourselves, our souls, and all we hold sacred.
