WELCOME

to Claire Bodine's Herald Angel Blog

Claire Bodine

THE HERALD ANGEL is the personal blog of televangelist Doctor Claire Bodine, whose mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus and in particular to do everything in her power to end violent video games for the hate that they breed. Dr. Bodine believes that video games have become an insidious blight upon our society, provoking people to commit hedonistic, selfish, and even highly destructive deeds. The time has come to turn away from the endless barrage of glowing screens that infest our daily life, look at one another in the eye, and find love and kindness in this glorious real world distinct from the frenzy of electronic fantasy.

AI is Eating Itself

AI is eating itself alive, like a snake eating its tail. Whether it’s a blog post, a restaurant review, or a social media personality, absolutely everything online has been infiltrated by artificial intelligence. For AI to keep evolving, it has to keep eating content. And now all that content is AI. The lies it spews are finally having some consequences, as the models become exponentially more idiotic the more it eats itself. As the New York Times states, “Just as a copy of a copy can drift away from the original, when generative A.I. is trained on its own content, its output can also drift away from reality, growing further apart from the original data that it was intended to imitate.”

AI, which has been lambasted in the past for some wildly inaccurate claims, is more likely than ever to recommend you use super glue to stick the cheese to your pizza. The Google AI at the top of your search feature may be as likely to spit out propaganda it made up about historical events, as it is to give you unbiased facts. To call what is essentially machine learning “intelligence” is a farce meant to trick the public into trusting soulless computers.

As AI continues cannibalize itself, drifting further from human reality, we must be ever attentive to how it is warping the world around us. It becomes ever more important to remain connected to ourselves, each other, and the Lord.
